PS3 > Laptop > Wireless

Hello i have a friend who cannot connect to his wirless router from his PS3 as the distance between them is to great he is unable to move to router or ps3.,

his laptop on the other hand can connect to the wireless router fine in the same room as the ps3 my question is would he be able to connect a Ethernet cable from his PS3 to his Laptop (in the same room) and use his laptop as a receiver to his wireless router and be able to play games online on his PS3?

Yes you can do this using internet connection sharing. Lots of articles on google go into details about how to set this up.
