I have a zip disk which is compressed using windows 98 and
now that I have windows xp home addition I neither can
unprotect it nor mount it because those options are gone
as far as I know. Please help.

So, find someone with a 98 system and uncompress it.

In addition to what Jerry says, make sure it has Drivespace and/or
Doublespace. You must mount the Disk (Zip or Diskette) based on what
originally created it. In other words Drivespace can't open
Doublespace disks and vice versa.
