I have a SB Live value and have the oppertunity to upgrade from my live to either the MP3+/X-gamer Audigy, Santa Cruz or any other card in their price range. Anyone upgrade from the live to any of them?? Any recomendations??

I downgraded from a Live to a Philips Seismic Edge. Then I upgraded to a Hercules Game Theater XP, and now I'm finally happy.

I'll give you the link to my review, if you want it.

Yes, I went from a Live 5.1 to a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. All I can say is WOW!! The sound quality is crisper and almost never get cracking (unless I'm accessing the Floppy drive and playing music but it's normal for the floppy drive to slow down the computer to crawl).

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor

Hmm... I haven't heard anything bad about the Santa Cruz yet. I'm curious if the audigy is better than the live...

Umm..sorry. That's impossible. I guarantee you haven't talked to all 100, and I have a suspicion you haven't talked to any of them.

Read this FAQ about Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Card (also known as VideoLogic Sonic Fury):

There is only one OEM version of the card and it is made for Dell. If you buy this version, Turtle Beach will not support you if you have any technical issues. If you desire such support, buy the retail version.

Is that the info you were pointing out?
