So my system here has stood by me for about 5 years or so, i'm pretty impressed with it's services but i'm afraid it's time for him to go.
I read quite a lot about building cause let's be honest, my price range isn't all that rare. Still, I've got some questions.
But let's get to it:
Location: Estonia, doesn't matter, no need to search Estonian shops, most of the stuff you offer i'll find i'm sure
Price: about 800 euros i'd say (a bit over 1000 dollars in US currency).
Purpose: Games, occasional movie
So first of all i stumbled uppon http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-a-pc-overclock-benchmark,3276.html which gave me the idea on pricerange. It offers 60+ fps on any game/settings at 1920x1080. But as it's already(!!) 2 months old i'm sure something can be imporved.
Intel Core i5-3570K
Xigmatek Loki SD963 92 mm CPU Cooler (all these little parts like coolers..again no real idea which is good

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 or ATI radeon 7970? This is the first place where i'm pretty much clueless as I really haven't done my research. I've had my problems with nvidia in the past but i'm sure it's not that case this time.
CM Storm Enforcer Mid Tower (again, no idea about these, just someone had this in his build, can be easily changed)
Corsair CX600 V2 600 W
Now for dram and hdd/ssd:
About ram: That 1000$ build uses 1600Mhz ones while I can easily find 1866/2133 Mhz ones with almost the same price...really like 5 euros the difference. I know ram isn't all about Hz but still could use some help to get better idea why I shouldn't just get http://arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTEKATALOOG/2133/KINGSTON-MEMORY-DIMM-8GB-PC17000-DDR3-HYPERX-KIT2-KINGSTON-179486 for extra ~7 euros.
I know nothing about ssd but i'm sure I want one. I guess 64gb would be enough just for the os. Question is about my secondary drive. why is no one using raid 0? Two 500gb drivers are generally the same in cost as 1Tb one. Wouldn't raid give the extra speed for "why not"? Sure it's a bit dangerous but my old drives have been in raid 0 for ~5 years now without a problem. I'm not sure how much it adds but got to be something, right?
This must be it for now. Now about monitors. Right now i'm using 19" one but I want upgrade to 24". All my research gave me an understanding that most suggested monitors were made in like 2008 or so. It's understandable I guess but would like a confirmation that i shouldn't just look from 2012 and if possible get some suggestions on specific models.
Price on monitor should not go over 150euros.
