Hey all,

So I am encountering this weird problem that I have never experienced before. So I just got done building my friend a new rig and I am having this strange issue with the PC during it's first boot of the day. The display is being powered by the integrated graphics of the i5 2400 CPU as the rig has no dedicated video card. During the first boot of every day, I can get the PC to boot up and into Windows, but the monitor is getting no signal. I know it is booting up into Windows because I can hear the Windows login chime + I can hear Avast informing me that my definitons have been updated. Yet I see nothing but black from my monitor and my monitor acts as if there is no signal. If I turn the monitor off and then on or if I unplug the DVI cable from the back of the motherboard and plug it back in nothing happens.

I then shut down the computer by holding in the power button and turn the PC back on, and viola everything is back to normal again. At this point if I restart the computer or shut it down and turn it back on everything is fine. It just seems that if I leave the computer off for a long amount of time (overnight) the no signal to monitor problem happens. This is very weird and I have no idea what it could be? Is it the display drivers from the motherboard? This is a new model Z77 board from Asrock (Model Z77M) which just came out and doesn't have very many reviews. Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

I had the same exact problem this morning.I installed a second chasis fan to my pc.And i pluged it not to chasis fun plug on the motherboard (cha fun2) but to another plug. The fan was working fine ,the windows booted fine all working fine yet no signal. It might be completely irrelevant or it might help....
