Playstation 2 to PC monitor?

what type of hardware do i need to connect my PlayStation 2 to my PC computer?

Never tried it but Im sure an RCA to VGA adapter would work...

Edit: or do you mean to record? as in a capture card?

As paddys09 said an RCA to VGA would do the job.
I bought one off of ebay to do this exact thing. It worked really well tbh.

JEDI I READ YOUR ANSWER BUT STILL I'M DISORIENTED HERE I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION


After I purchase the cable what would be the steps to connect it?


What inputs does my pc have to have in order to accomodate the cable successfully?

Sorry for the extremely late response, just started college and was very busy.

The one I bought has a vga and a composite (yellow) input, a power input, and a vga output and 4 or so buttons on one of the sides. You would plug the VGA in on your monitor to the VGA out on the adapter. then you would plug the yellow composite from your PS2 to the adapter and then plug in the power cable. If your monitor only has a VGA input then you would connect your PC's VGA out to the adapter's VGA in and there are buttons that allow you to switch between the PC's and the PS2's video feed.

Sorry if that sounds confusing, I do not have the adapter with me.
