I have a geforce6150 onbord and a HD3850 offbord video card.

- When i enter on windows 7 whith 6150, it works fine.
- When i try to enter on windows 7 whith hd3850 i get a fliker image and a message on my monitor ("frequecy out of range"), and not a sign of the system show┬┤s up.
- On wellcome screen of 7, the image is fine, only when the desktop opens (is suposed to open) the fliker issue begins.

Two possible issues:

-Your PSU is too weak to power the card properly. What power supply do you use?
-Your HD3850 is running too hot. Would it be possible to find out what its temperatures are when you use it?

Set the monitor's refresh rate to 60 hertz.

Make sure you install the ATI drivers. Windows 7 may have recognized the card, but likely muffed the drivers. That's what happened on my HD4670; it worked, but performance was miserable until I installed the Windows 7 Catalyst drivers from the AMDATI web site.
