I have a Audigy and Altec Lansing ADA885s, I use powerdvd 3.
What do I have to do to get the ADA885's which have a dolby digital/prologic decoder built in to play the surround sound in my dvds?
Do I set powerdvd to use waveout or 6speaker errr?

You should have a digital output which uses a 3.5 mm connector, all you need to do is buy a 3.5 mm to RCA (Mono) converter, then you should be able to hook it up to the digital inputs on your speakers. To find out more on how to do this, visit Creatives Web site.

If it works for you then don't fix it.

There's an option in the audio setting for PowerDVD that says something like pass to dolby digital/DTS decoder...

Lyrics. Wasted time between solos.

You need PowerDVD 4 (XP) to support the Audigy in Dolby digital mode. At least I did.
