I've been looking at this phone for a new plan with Cingular. It probably
has
more features than I need, but basic PIM, camera and phone are what I need.

The specs say the camera is a VGA camera. How good is this?
Is the # of pixels = to the resolution? e.g. 640x480=307K? If so,
this is not really a very good camera.

I was comparing this to the Motorola V551 and the MPx220. Both of those
have 1.2 Megapixel cameras. The 551 is not really in the same category as
this phone.

AFAIK, VGA is the resolution used by PC webcams, and cell phone cameras
aren't really good. (not as a substitute to real digital camera)
