ok here the thing , first i got a8-3870k i swapped hd 5850 for gaming but now it somwhat lags in ultra settings 1080p BF3. so, now i want a new gfx . i'm
thinking of hd 7970. But my question is if a8-3870k can handle this fat guy? or should i swap gtx670? please answer... thanks in advance guys. :p

i got 5086 for passmak , tht's about equal to ph II X4 970.
and i thougt tht at 1080p the cpu is never bottleneck(a 4 core.)?
oh, it's overclocked to 3.5ghz

I think a 5850 is about as powerful as I'd want in a gpu if I had a 3870k. Should just overclock both and lower a few of the settings.

This. You should upgrade both CPU and GPU if you want even better performance. Imo it does not worth it, just overclock CPU and GPU and accept that you will play at high settings at most.
