Just to give this newsgroup something to talk about besides Mage, I
offer you:

Splat that Show!

The challenge, should you choose to accept it: Take a show, any show,
and identify the Whitewolf splats the majors characters would belong to.
They don't all have to be from the same game, but they must all be from
the same world - so no mixing oWoD, Exalted and Aeon!

Bonuses if you can stat out the protagonists as a legal starting party.

I'll start by taking one of the easy ones" Vision of Escaflowne.

Our heroes are easy, being clearly a party of young Godblooded isolated
from their parents.

Hitomi Kanzaki: Half-caste Sidereal
Van Farnel: Half-caste Lunar
Allen Schezar: Half-caste Solar
Merle: Beastman

Of the three main villains, two are equally easy:
Dilandau: Imbued Amalgam
Volken Farnel: God-blooded

The hard character is Dunkirk. In many ways he doesn't quite fit as a
Sidereal (certain in style - and in Exalted, isn't that what is most
important of all?). But he seems to be suffering from their curse in spades.

Which makes me propose that Dunkirk is in fact a respendent destiny of
the last Sidereal of Gaia, suffering under the full force of the
sidereal curse. For he, by himself, is the gathering of the entire
Sidereal Exalted.

The Master? Allow /anything/ else to master him? (which would be necessary for
him to be a Barabbus) Fat chance. SoE Mad Scientist, instead. Master of Mind,
heavy on the Jhor-taint and the Derangements.

One might wonder if the TARDIS is an Umbral entity in its own right...

It could even be a paradox spirit of sorts. All it has to do is deposit
the Doctor somewhere where unnatural events occur. His own nosiness
takes care of the rest. All the unnaturalness goes up in a series of
explosions.

Actually, now I'm starting to think about the TARDIS as a Room of
Renunciation from Unknown Armies.

Of course, you're right! Maruader is the way to go. Add in Davros as
an Iteration X marauder with the worst case of Paradox backlash ever!

Can a Wonder attain sentience and become an Umbrood? Hmm...

Dex,
figuring the Black Guardian for a Nephandus Lord...

Why go for Marauder? They're _nuts_, certainly, but not every insane Mage is a
Marauder.

I'm not entirely sure about Davros as It-Xer. Progenitor influenced by It-X,
yes, but I'm not sure he's It-X himself.

Now the Cybermen, on the other hand...

I'm not altogether certain it /could/ be codified in Mage terms. They're not
uncommon on Gallifrey, after all - and the Doctor's is virtually an /antique/.
Perhaps a new Background: TARDIS? :p

Oh yes, that reminds me. 'Doctor Who' draws on a lot of the old pulp
conventions (it even had cliffhangers). How about the Doctor in Adventure!?
Stat him up as a Daredevil with a few Stalwart and Mentalist Knacks, give him
the Enigma Advanced Background (there's always /something/ niggling about the
background he presents...), have the TARDIS as a Sanctum Sanctorum, have the
Master as a Nemesis...

> Dex,

Eh. He's not nihilistic enough. Umbrood (Incarna or Celestine).

Same goes for the White Guardian and the Celestial Toymaker.

Now, Sutekh, on the other hand...
