I'm looking to upgrade a family member's computer on the cheap and would appreciate some advice. The computer is an old home build that I gave them when I replaced my system. Here are the specs:

Mainboard Asus P5B-Deluxe
Chipset Intel P965
Processor Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 1866 MHz
Physical Memory 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)
Hard Disk Western Digital WD1600JD-75HBB0 ATA Device (160GB)
Monitor Type Samsung SyncMaster - 19 inches
Network Card Marvell Semiconductor (Was: Galileo Technology Yukon 88E8056 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Network Card Marvell Semiconductor (Was: Galileo Technology Yukon 88E8001/8003/8010 PCI Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper)
Operating System Windows 7 Enterprise Professional Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (32-bit)

My intent is to simply upgrade the CPU/Mobo/RAM and keep the case, monitor, hard drive, PSU, etc.. Does this sound reasonable? The computer is only used for school work and browsing. No gaming or intensive work, but it'd be nice if it could last another 4 years or so after the upgrade.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)

ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
