To begin, I apologize in advance if this thread is in the wrong section. My friend just gave me his old GPU and sound card because he upgraded. The GPU is a Radeon HD 5750 and the sound card is a Blaster X-fi titanium. Now I have these 2 components that I would like to install, but I don't know where to start. I would like to know what I'm gonna need to buy to get my computer ready for these components? (I'm pretty sure I need a new case and PSU, but nothing else) Thank you very much. :)

Current rig (if you can even call it that):

Model: Dell Inc. Studio 540
Operating System: Windows Vista
Processor: Intel(R) core(TM)2 quad CPU Q6600 @2.40GHz (4CPUs)
RAM: 8190MB
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 3600 series
Hard Drive: 623GB
Sound Card: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Motherboard: Dell Inc. 0M017G
PSU: 350 Watt DC Power Supply

You wanna use windows 7 not vista.
You want a 600 watt power supply.
BUT you have to find out the EXACT motherboard number / make first,,,
and check to see if that hardware is approved for that board.
typically Dell has very poor case ventilation, and you probably need to at least install more fans, and a large CPU cooler.
Antec 300 is a good start for a well ventilated, inexpensive case..
Earthwatts is a good power supply, because it pays for itself by saving electricity.

I found the a link with the mobo spec( http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/dell-0m017g-specs/ ), but I don't have enough technical knowledge to understand if this will work with the 5750 or a new power supply. If anyone could help, that would be awesome.
