Budget PC vs PS3 graphics

All I want is to be able to play games in PS3/Xbox quality graphics on a 42in screen.
Games like, skyrim, Darksiders, Fifa 12,

Any of those cards will smoke the xbox/ps3 for graphics, those consoles are starting to get ridiculously old now.

I'd still go the 7870 though, best bang for your buck and it's many times more powerful then the both consoles combined.

Nice. So I will be able to play the games in 1080 and moderate settings? Someone told me that since my screen is 42 in I would need like a 400$ graphics card. What do you think?

Also any comments of the builds are appreciated! its just a cheap desktop.

The size of the screen doesnt matter at all. Resolution is the only thing that will effect perfomance.

Your system definitely qualifies for 1080p gaming with the games you mentioned..You'll be able to max all of them... with the 7850/70

It will look so much better than the PS3

just 1080p looks better then ps3/xbox but any card you mentioned will make the consoles look old..Even crysis 3 on the xbox wont look no where near like will be on the pc
