Solved

Which graphics card should I get?

I'm interested in a new GPU but not sure what to buy.

Will be gaming on a single monitor, currently a 1600 x 900 monitor but I am upgrading to a 1080p soon :P

I have a $325ish budget for a new card

I was thinking about the 7950 or the 660 ti msi oc edition

I know the 7950 is better in most other games than the 660 ti but the cool thing about the 660 is its better in BF3 and comes with borderlands 2....

So any ideas?

Thanks!

Get a high end superclocked 660ti, it will about as good as a 670 for much less money. :D

The MSI gtx 660 ti Power Edition OC is the best 660 ti currently available, in close contest with the asus directCU card. The Gigabyte windforce 3x cards have slightly better cooling but aren't as solid in terms of build quality. In the end the MSI card wins most comparisons because its better cooling solution than the asus card allows it to achieve higher boost clocks despite a lower base gpu clock.
EVGA is cited as a good manufacturer not for its cards themselves being more powerful, but because they have excellent reliability, great warranties, and the buyback program.

The 7950 however is able to beat the 660 ti in any situation except battlefield 3, often times by a wide margin.

Yeah I've heard that the 7950 is a really good card to go with and was debating this for much of the day when I posted this.

If I do go with the 7950 which model/brand is good? Also which model has good overclocking capabilites?
  7. Sapphire and MSI both make excellent 7950 cards, it's a take your pick between the top end MSI and Sapphire cards.

I went ahead and bought a used sapphire 7970 dual-x from eBay from a seller i bought off of before, card is not here yet but in pics it looks physically pristine

Paid $320 free shipping, may not be the best price for a "used" card but I think it was great and for the price range I was in as well, Thanks kevins
