hello, i am looking to upgrade my graphics card from nvidia geforce gt 240 to GeForce GTX 550 Ti

My Comp specs are :
Processor: AMD Anthlon II X2 250 3 GHz
4.00 GB RAM

PSU
Brand: Xion
Model Number xon-700p12n
700W

any help would be great lol if you need more details let me know

I suggest getting something else thats not a 550ti since its ussually horrible value for your money. A 7770 or 6850 is much more powerful and generally only slightly more expensive, a 6770/5770 or 7750 is usually less expensive than the 550 ti and offer the same performance.

otherwise everything should work.

What was the question? If its "is your computer compatible?", then on paper yes, however you didnt list your motherboard - you need a free PCIE x16 slot. The 550Ti needs 1x pcie 6pin power connector, so make sure you psu has one.

Xion is not a brand im familiar with, however a quick look around the web shows that its probably ok for your system and a 550Ti.

The OP stated that they wanting to upgrade from a GT240 which being a PCIe card would suggest that their motherboard has the requisite slot.
