The gtx 650 seems to be a bit slower then the 7770, and the gtx 460 is faster then the 7770, If you need the 2gb of vram go with the 650 but if you are running one monitor at 1920x1080 or lower the 460 is the way to go.

This is all that I could find for a link

though i don't believe what hw compare says because it shows the 6850 is better in everything than the 460 but when it comes to benchmarking its different.
I now have 2 PC's one is using a 6850, athlon II X3, 4gb ram and the other is using a GTX 650, phenom II 710, 8gb ram and the 650/phenom rig destroyed the 6850/athlon rig without much effort. In every game the 650 rig defeated the 6850 rig. Man the athlon II is a pathetic excuse for a CPU

What's so funny? They are bad. After a few hours with the phenom i realized how bad the athlon is, should have never bought it in the first place.

Ah... nice. So i just wasted 140$ on a 650 which is slower than the 550Ti that costs 110$... :ouch:

I got it as soon as it was in stores and i thought it would be faster than the 550Ti but i was wrong. Why did nvidia make such a large performance gap between the 650 and the 660?

Thanks for the terrific news -.- Now no one will buy the 650 because its overpriced for its performance pretty much like the 550Ti was...

Nvidia really didn't shine in $150 budget range for the last few years - since GT 240 - and it doesn't look like it's gonna change any time soon.

Now that you mentioned it i still have the GT 240 GDDR5 in one of the boxes of my new cards and i remember i paid 80$ for it in 2009... great card for the money at that time

The GT240 GDDR5 is nothing to laugh at when tweaked and I still consider it to be a decent card but a gtx460 is a beast when overclocked. It will match a reference 560 ti when pushed over 900mhz and when modded they last. I have owned one for over two years and I can say this without a doubt that it is a true workhorse. Over 6-7 thousand hours of wow and other games in 40c+ ambient heat.

I plan on replacing the 6850 with the GTX 660 or GTX 660Ti. I'm glad Nvidia decided to make some "less" power demanding cards

Yea for the first time in years but I am still not satisfied with all the changes that they have made. They left openGL out altogether so those apps don't work very well and to add rock salt to the wounds the compute performance is spotty. :??:

Plus if I ended up with one of the popular models the coil squeal will drive me nuts.

I doubt there will be a GTX 650 Ti because it doesn't say on the Nvidia website that there will be a 650Ti

Wha? The new 600 series delivers better performance and less power consumption.

WTF?! The GTX 660 can blow all of that away and its lower priced than the 7870. I smell an AMD fanboy. Btw the 6850 was a major disappointment, sucks at 1080p gaming...

wow :o  . no i'm not a AMD or NVidia fanboy. I rather recommend a GTX 670 over a GTX 660 TI or GTX 660 as when they were released they were disappointments to me ? I recommend gpu that are the best bang for your buck and a GTX 660 and GTX 660 TI are not it with there 192Bit bus which makes them unlikely to be future proof.

Oh i'm sorry. The GTX 660 costs 284$ (here in my country) and the cheapest radeon 7850 costs 315$ do you still think this is a bang for your buck considering the 7850 is slower than the 660?

because for the same price of the GTX 660 TI you can get a HD 7950 which will out perform it and overclock amazingly

What about the fact that the 7850 is 31$ more expensive than the GTX 660 and is slower? I also have had the driver problem with the 6850 all the time and it either had screen flickering, random artifacts on high resolutions, when they released a driver that fixed all of that i decided that the 6850 is worthless and all it did was anger me

GTX 660 $229

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

HD 7850 $219

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

seems more expansive to me XD

the HD 7850 can also overclock pretty easily past 1GHz on stock volts

Edit: AMD drivers have been great for the past few months since the HD 7000 series was released

You know that's not the way i see it in my country. here the 7850 is more expensive though nothing can beat the fact that the 7850 is slower than a 660
