The gtx 650 seems to be a bit slower then the 7770, and the gtx 460 is faster then the 7770, If you need the 2gb of vram go with the 650 but if you are running one monitor at 1920x1080 or lower the 460 is the way to go.

This is all that I could find for a link

though i don't believe what hw compare says because it shows the 6850 is better in everything than the 460 but when it comes to benchmarking its different.
I now have 2 PC's one is using a 6850, athlon II X3, 4gb ram and the other is using a GTX 650, phenom II 710, 8gb ram and the 650/phenom rig destroyed the 6850/athlon rig without much effort. In every game the 650 rig defeated the 6850 rig. Man the athlon II is a pathetic excuse for a CPU

Why the hell is the newer GTX 650 slower than its older brother the 550ti?

I got it as soon as it was in stores and i thought it would be faster than the 550Ti but i was wrong. Why did nvidia make such a large performance gap between the 650 and the 660?

No idea, why did they realease the gtx 580 so soon after the 480?

Thanks for the terrific news -.- Now no one will buy the 650 because its overpriced for its performance pretty much like the 550Ti was...

Now that you mentioned it i still have the GT 240 GDDR5 in one of the boxes of my new cards and i remember i paid 80$ for it in 2009... great card for the money at that time

The GT240 GDDR5 is nothing to laugh at when tweaked and I still consider it to be a decent card but a gtx460 is a beast when overclocked. It will match a reference 560 ti when pushed over 900mhz and when modded they last. I have owned one for over two years and I can say this without a doubt that it is a true workhorse. Over 6-7 thousand hours of wow and other games in 40c+ ambient heat.

I plan on replacing the 6850 with the GTX 660 or GTX 660Ti. I'm glad Nvidia decided to make some "less" power demanding cards

because the 650ti will be coming out soon

Yea for the first time in years but I am still not satisfied with all the changes that they have made. They left openGL out altogether so those apps don't work very well and to add rock salt to the wounds the compute performance is spotty. :??:

Plus if I ended up with one of the popular models the coil squeal will drive me nuts.

Wha? The new 600 series delivers better performance and less power consumption.
