i have a creative audigy soundcard. it has an intigrated firewire port. since installing windows xp when i plug my DV cam into there (or any other dv cam for that matter) i get an unknown device (not the camera) it is called: "AV/C SUBUNIT" and it doesn't not have device drivers for this. I was wondering if you had any solutions 
i've fooled around for hours! as soon as i unplug the camera the unknown device goes away. it is not camera drivers that i need i knwo that for a fact as there really are no firewire dv camera drivers out there
