New Build with a used hard drive with Vista installed

Was wondering if i could build a system with a used hard drive that already has windows vista installed on it. I really dont wanna pay 100 bucks for windows 7.

Format the drive and install a fresh copy of windows.

If your new build includes a new MB and your copy of Vista is an OEM version (likely) then you must buy a new OS.
