I had made this build from parts I think are good.
But I am not super ultra techy so can you tell me if i missed or should add something.
Like fans, better case ect.

here is my build:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ogYC

Approximate Purchase Date: about a month

Budget Range: 1000 - 1300

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, internet ect.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade : everything (build from scratch)

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: none

Location: Near DC

Parts Preferences: by brand or type: I like intel and I some what like nvidea

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe later

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 (the monitor in the build above)

Additional Comments:will be playing some old games (portal/tf2) and new (planet side)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:I want to run games smooth on pretty high resolution also run programs quickly

I would really like advice on putting the PC together.
Thanks in advance. :)

Do not purchase that CPU fan - get a Hyper 212 Evo instead. Also the V4 is horrible, it uses a slow and outdated controller. And don't go cheap on the case either.

I'd suggest this for a $1200 budget:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($34.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($37.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($88.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ Vertex 4 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card ($295.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($84.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($22.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $1090.86
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Then with the difference add monitor and whatever else you may need.
