CF Card for 350D

Hi,

I have finally decided to plunge for a 350D. What is the best CF card to
buy for this camera? I am kinda deciding betweeen the following:

1. Sandisk Ultra II 1GB
2. Sandisk Extreme III 1GB
3. Lexar 80X 1Gb

Is it worth going for the fast but expensive card? I have heard that the
350D doesn't utilize the full writing speed of the Lexar, what about
the Sandisk Extreme III?

I'd vote Lexar. I use them exclusively and they are the best. You can
get a slower and smaller one, you know.

SanDisk is the OEM of all memory cards for Canon.
Therefore, Canon is of the opinion that SanDisk is the best. ;-)

1x = .15MB/s
2x = .3MB/s
40x = 6MB/s
60x = 9MB/s <----- SanDisk Ultra II
80x = 12MB/s <----- Lexar
133x = 20MB/s <----- SanDisk Extreme III

There are a number of ways that a memory card can be considered
"best". Did Canon decide it was "best" based upon quality, or "best"
based upon some volume pricing discount, or "best" because of
something else?

I started with Lexar and have had 3 card failures over the last 5 years with
them. Replaced them with Sandisk and had no more problems.
