My geforce gt630 run on pci-express x8 not x16

Hello, i bought and installed a new Digital Alliance
GeForce GT630 2Gb DDR3. i found out that my VGA card runs on PCI-e x8 not PCI-e x16, while the slot is supported x16. what could be the problem? does gt 630 not support x16?
