Overclocking ECC mem

If ECC memory is more stable, can it be overclocked more succesfully?

For example:
I bought a 512 stick of Corsair PC133 CL3, and I can't run it at CL2. If I had instead bought a 512 of ECC CL3, would I now be able to run it at CL2?

ECC "corrects errors" in the RAM, not allows it to run at higher speeds.

Well, here was my reasoning:

Running memory too fast causes causes system instability because of memory errors, right? So could error correction compensate for the error introduced by overclocking?

I think you could compare that to suppose:
Throwing 1000 pitches a day...you would practically numb your hand...of course it would be better but then you would continue to have t reapir so there is no point.
