how to tell PC100 vs PC133

I recently bought some 256 MB PC133 DIMMs from online auction. When I got the memory, it did not have any kind of label and it was a brand I never heard of.

How can you tell if SDRAM PC133 is really PC133 and not PC100?

PC133 should be 7ns or 7.5ns PC100 should be 8ns or 10ns.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

use the program ctspd or sisoftsandra. They will tell you everything you need about your RAM.

I tried using the CTSPD program, and got a "chipset nt found" message ? Is it because the m/board is P-100 ?

that's really strange. I've used CTSPD on many systems without problems. Anyway you could try with sisoftsandra.
