I recently install WindowsXP pro.Everything was working
fine until I Tried to install an old version of Adaptec
Easy CD Creator. Needless to say I now get an error
message saying that I have two corupted
drivers "cdralw2k.sys & cdr4-2k.sys".
I no longer want to use or install the Adaptec software
but I want to restore my drivers. Is there a way to do
this without a whole new XP installation?
I uninstalled the Adaptec software.

Try running a System File Check to see if it finds and replaces the two
system files that are wrong.... from the Command Prompt, type:

sfc /scannow
(and hit enter. Note the space between the c and the /)

These old versions of Easy Creator install some drivers that
can be removed only by editing registry. This is well known
and the directions can be found in many places
(have you checked Roxio site?)
