i am building my new pc.

case-690 II advanced
psu-?
processor-3570k
mobo-ud3h gigabyte
sli/crossfire-not now
gpu-6850 hd
RAM-?

do i need an additional cooler like 212plus
coz i dont want to damage my components.
i want them to be durable.

i dont want to OC.
if i buy the 3570k for playing games ,will it get overclocked?
coz i m bit concerned about its lifespan and thus hesitant buying it.

If you dont want to oc the i5-3570k will be a waste, just get the i5-3470 + h77 mobo and you dont need the hyper 212.

Base your build like this :

i want my pc for gaming purpose only.
no heavy tasking.
i want to make one time investment ,so that it runs atleast 5 years or so.
i heard that 2500k is enough but 3570k is slightly ahead,so why not go for it.

should i go for 3470??
and do i need a cooler if i use a 3570k or the case just works fine?
i dont want to damage any part of it.

like you said for gaming purposes the money you save with the i5-3470 (you don't want to oc the i5-3570k) goes for a better gfx card and that's what counts 7850>>>6850.
The stock cooler provides decent cooling just for the stock speeds which in your case will be enough.
