Dell has something similar for $1200 but the GPU is a GT 640. I know if I put it together I should be able to get a better price and a better GPU.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:
Bought a dell 5 or so years ago and I think it is about time to upgrade to fit my gaming needs. My wife and I also fight over the computer so she can keep the old dell while I get my new upgrade

Logged into Planetside 2 this morning and needless to say the FPS sucked. I am not surprised as my FPS wasn't to great in the beta to begin with... So I would love to be able to run Planetside 2 on maxed out settings with 60-100 FPS during extremely populated fights.

On that budget - build your own. Don't buy Dell crap. That GT640 will get you nowhere in gaming, plus the i7 and 16GB of RAM won't help much either.

you can go cheaper and get way better quality than a dell. its those large OEM companies that give pcs bad reputations of breaking down quickly compared to apple

Not to mention OEM manufacturers like Dell use proprietary form factors that make upgrading extremely difficult or in some cases near impossible.

yes. my old compaq prebuilt has 3 expansion slots. whats up with that?
