Hey,

i have a problem with my HD 7850 card.

I've built a new pc by myself and it's working well.
The problem is, that I have artefacts (pixels) when playing a game.

I play World of Warcraft and if I have graphic details at "Ultra", there are so many artefacts, that playing is not fun anymore.
If i set shadow, water etc. details to low, the artefacts are shrinking and are not gray anymore. There are a few, but it's playable! But i want to play completly without artefacts, since the card was very expensive.

I thought, that it's a World of Warcraft related problem. I've installed "Star Wars The Force Unleashed II", having the same artefact problems (even on startup).

While surfing, using applications or watching movies (even HD), there are no artefacts!

My System:

MB: Asus P8B75-M LE B75
CPU: Core i3-2120
GPU: XFX HD 7850 2GB Core Edition
RAM: 8GB 1333MHZ
Energy: 430W be quiet! Pure Power CM BQT L8
HDD: SSD 128GB

First I'd installed Win8 x64, then I've intalled Win7 x64 (running it now).
I installed all drivers and directly started WoW but the artefacts were always the same.

I've updated my bios, connected the card via VGA/DVI/HDMI (finally having DVI).
I have Catalyst 12.8 and allowed the games (applications) to change the properties.

Downgrade of Catalyst (12.1, 12.3, 12.4) changed nothing.

Is my card defect or what should I try?
Please help, thanks!

lower down GPU & memory clock by 50 mhz & see it should resolve the issue
