    1) What is the resolution of your monitor and
    2) What do you want to be able to do with the card (intense gaming, casual video watching)

  4. also using a 18inch monitor
  5. Ah - you don't anything powerful to run on a 18-inch monitor. Sorry I don't know Indian shopping sites!

In this range, you should probably be looking for a Radeon HD 5570, 6570 or 6670. GDDR5 on the card is better, but GDDR3 is ok too.

Other cards to look out for: 5670, 5750, 7750 and Nvidia: GTS 450, GT 545, GT 640.

My Mother board has DDR2 ram on it... so will it be a problem to fit DDR3 or DDR5 cards on to PCIx16 slot... Please..
    Please advice...
  7. Nope. I was talking about the memory on the graphic card itself. It's completely unrelated to the Ram on the motherboard.

  9. I'd probably say go for a 7750 or 7770, that should last about as long as that core 2 duo in some situations (I run a core 2 quad btw). 7770s are cheap now too and are great value
  10. 1. I wouldn't post your email publicly like that unless you want a lot of spam.

    2. Start searching the sales in your county and let us know if you can find these cards in your price range. I have no idea what they would sell for over there -- I picked cards that were about that price in the US.
