Building my first computer and ordering tommorow. While all these parts might not be exactly the same due to there maybe being some good sales tommorow on sights like newegg, itll give me an idea if the parts im picking are compatible or not.

RAM: 8GB G.Skill 1600MHZ ( Come as free gift with my motherboard )

CPU: i5 2500k for about $212 or an i5 3570k for $220, not sure yet

GPU: 7970 Sapphire for $399.99 or the XFX Double D Card only because its on sale for $359.99, cant decide

Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 $42 ( Worried if this will fit my GPU?? ) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O8J11E/ref=ox_sc_a...

Aftermarket CPU: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus $25 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002G1YPH0/ref=ox_sc_a...

DVD Drive: LiteON IHAS324 $26 ( A couple more dollars expensive than others, but i want this one ) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002QGDWLK/ref=ox_sc_s...

PSU: Corsair TX 650 Watt $76 after $15 Off Code http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Everything should fit, though a few things.

Get the 3570K. There's no point going for an older and soon to be pulled out generation for only $8 less.

Get the XFX if it's cheaper. Both cards will perform roughly the same.

CM 430 isn't bad.... but I believe you can do better.

There are $17 optical drives out there, they all perform the same anyway. I don't get why you want the more expensive one. :p

PSU is a bit overkill. 550w would be more than enough for a single GPU system.

Ok i think ill go with the 3570k then.

I plan on overclocking pretty heavily my gpu and giving my cpu a decent overclock, are you sure 550 watts would be enough? I also plan to add an sdd and fans to my pc if that matters.

And for my case, i could get a better one, but is the one i have now have enough room and good enough air flow?

Thanks for responding so fast

I see, then the 650w would be fine. It seems to be in a good price as well anyway.

Everything should fit in the CM 430 except the CPU cooler. You'll also need to add a fan or two for better airflow since it only comes with 1 pre-installed fan.
I suggest the Antec Three Hundred Two.
