Didn't know where to post it, so posting here.

I bought a new build and assembled it at home myself.

When I press the power button, the system starts... i.e., i am able to see all the fans spin, the LED's light up etc...

But it immediately stops... i.e., it powers down and everything stops.

I haven't checked each part separately yet because I assembled it only yesterday.

The components are:

CPU: Intel i5 - 3470
GPU: Sapphire HD 7950 3GB GDDR5
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H (LGA 1155)
PSU: Corsair CX600 V2
RAM: GSkill Sniper 8GB DDR3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 CAS 1.5V
Cabinet: Nzxt Lexa S
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200 RPM
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 60 GB
DVD-RW: ASUS

Has anyone faced this problem before?

Can anyone please advise on how to get it working?

There are so many possible variables here...

Are you beyond certain that you put everything together correctly?

Are there any beeps or noises other than fan noises?

How long is "immediately" as in under 1 second?

1st, you should be getting at least 1 quick beep.

2nd no RAM?

3rd how about the motherboard standoffs? If they are not used or if you have an extra one poking the back of the motherboard instead of going sitting beneath the correct hole you could be shorting the motherboard.

right sorry about that...

GSkill Sniper 8 GB DDR3 (4 x 2)

tried with one stick... same issue

also there is one beep when i press the power button but no beeps as it shuts down...

and as i said all the fans start up, and the LED's glow for about 3 secs before everything shuts down...

the standoffs are correctly placed... double checked

i will try posting some pics of the setup... maybe that would help...

can you be more specific. What voltage is it rated for? I have seen 1.25V and 1.5v, there is probably some 1.65v around somewhere too.

Have you double checked the CPU cooler is properly in contact with the CPU and locked?

try re-seating everything too.

Are you using the integrated graphics on the CPU? or do you have a seperate GPU?
