No green on lcd screen ok when connected to monitor via vga

Hello,
lcd screen on my toshiba laptop brok so I bought a new one and fitted it but there is no green colour, I can see the picture just without any green, I connected the old lcd screen and its the same, no green. Was told that it may be the cable to the screen so I bought a new one fitted and and still no green. When I connected the laptop to an external monitor via a vga cable everything is fine, no colour problems.
