How to run World of Warcraft on ULTRA settings?

I built my computer back in February, it has:

16GB RAM
Intel 2600k CPU
NO GRAPHICS CARD

I was told when building that the graphics built in the 2600k CPU would be able to run world of warcraft on ULTRA settings with 1920 X 1080 (wide) resolution. I recently tried this and it wasn't smooth at all. Was wondering if I do need a graphics card or if there's something I can adjust in BIOS. Any help appreciated!

You really need a graphics card. I have a gtx 560 ti 448 core and with ultra settings at 1080p i get 60+ fps all the time. Turing down shadows i usually get 100+.

if you can afford it, a 7850 should be perfect for an all the time smooth experience.

However, you could go lower than that if you wish.

If you can afford it ~$210, I've seen the Nvidia 660 outperform more expensive cards in benchmarks for WoW. I'm fairly confident you'd max out settings with that card, but you always need to take into account that WoW is more cpu and connection based, especially when you're playing in crowded areas or in 25 man raids. Your internet connection and relative location to the server really affects ping and actually will increase the lag/choppiness of play more than the GPU most likely.

This being said with my setup i5-2500k and a 460gtx I run on at least high settings all the time with little issue.

For WOW? A GTX 550 Ti would be more than enough to play wow on ultra.

A 660 would scream, especially paired with that CPU.

Deal for EVGA 560 Ti for $160. I'm running this card and get 60+ FPS on Ultra.

This, but paired with a i7-950. Screams, except in say, Stormwind, when it's packed and even then it's barely noticeable.

I play WoW (don't tell anyone) at 1920x1080 on an i3-2120 & Sapphire 6850 (stock speeds) on Ultra. The only time I see my FPS drop is in Stormwind at peak times and the lowest I've seen it go is 48. For a $150 you could grab a 6850 and be happy.
