Ok, so I've been using a modified Dell Dimension E521 for years now. I've decided that it's time to upgrade into something modern for gaming and normal surfing. I'm going to go about making my first ever computer from scratch. Here are the parts and prices I've chosen. Please let me know if the prices are reasonable and if the parts are compatible.

I won't be needing a PSU, Optical Drive, or an OS as I will be taking them from my old computer.

CPU:
$115
AMD FX 6100 6-Core Processor, 3.3 6 Socket AM3+ - FD6100WMGUSBX

PSU:
500W PSU (It might be a 550W. I'm taking the one I had on my old computer.)

Mobo:
$90 ($80 after rebate)
GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Chassis:
$30
Rosewill Blackbone Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

HDD:
$50
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB SATA III 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD5000AAKX
http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Caviar-Cache-Desktop/dp/B00461G3MS/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1353443898&sr=1-3&keywords=internal+hard+drive+500gb+7200+rpm

Video Card:
$55
EVGA GeForce GT 520 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 2DVI/Mini-HDMI Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1526-KR
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Mini-HDMI-Graphics-01G-P3-1526-KR/dp/B00549HZ7S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353645150&sr=8-1&keywords=GeForce+GT+545

RAM:
$28
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model BLS2KIT4G3D1339DS1S00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148543

Optical Drive:
DVD/RW (From my old computer.)

Total: $360

If you have any suggestions of hardware that is a better deal, please let me know. My budget is $400.

For the OS, I plan to take the hard drive from my old computer and make it the primary hard drive, and the Western Digital hard drive will be my secondary. Will I need to buy a certain type of data cable to add another hard drive or will it come with the motherboard?

Thank you very much for the help.

All the games I play aren't 2011+ (usually browser games or classics) now and I don't plan on playing 2011 + games any time soon. I can always upgrade later if I need to. Is it all compatible though? I just need to be sure - I plan on getting some of the parts this week.

EDIT:

Would that graphics card be better or my GeForce 9500 GT from my old computer?

Thanks, I'll use the 9500 GT.

Can you tell me if the mobo, cpu, chassis, ram, and hdd will be compatible together? I know there are a lot of DDR and socket varieties and I want to make sure they all match up.
