Radeon 6670 HDMI ->DVI-D

Hi, I have a Radeon HD 6670, and I recently bought a HDMI to DVI-D cable so that I could use the DVI-D on my monitor, and it doesn't display anything when connected. I've looked into the catalyst manager, and haven't had any luck getting anything to display through the HDMI -> DVI-D, but the analog works just fine.

Are there any suggestions on how I could possibly get this to work?

  1. why dont you just use the DVI port on the 6670 from the beginning and not risk having to deal with an adapter cable?

    I didn't necessarily think of that in the first place, so... yeah.
  3. I feel like the problem is in the adapter cable sometimes those things can cause much more harm than good.....does the adapter cable work with other setups?
