Radeon 6670 HDMI ->DVI-D

Hi, I have a Radeon HD 6670, and I recently bought a HDMI to DVI-D cable so that I could use the DVI-D on my monitor, and it doesn't display anything when connected. I've looked into the catalyst manager, and haven't had any luck getting anything to display through the HDMI -> DVI-D, but the analog works just fine.

Are there any suggestions on how I could possibly get this to work?

why dont you just use the DVI port on the 6670 from the beginning and not risk having to deal with an adapter cable?

I didn't necessarily think of that in the first place, so... yeah.

I feel like the problem is in the adapter cable sometimes those things can cause much more harm than good.....does the adapter cable work with other setups?
