I have the amd sapphire 7870 oc edition and I got the hdmi no signal error in game and i believe i heard the gpu fans speed up, but i don't think cooling is a problem as i have 3 exhaust fans and 3 intakes and a hyper 212 evo cpu cooler, and my temperature probes were only reading at around 36c which shouldn't be a temperature to crash at, and the game was sniper elite v2, i've had it happen in the past with shogun 2 fall of the samurai but that was three months ago now. Thank you for your help

Never heard anything about an overheating cable :heink:. Might want to liquid cool your cable  .
Is it only happening while gaming?

idol or idle? But seriously if your gaming temp is 29c, your gpu is cold as f*ck :ouch: ! That or it's not working.
Check in msi afterburner if your gpu is under load while gaming.

Do you happen to be playing on a TV? Perhaps an older TV? I had the exact same thing happen to me when I ran Skyrim on the TV, but it worked fine when on an actual monitor (TV was HDMI and the monitor was VGA, my GPU was a 6950).

I realize my post isn't really helpful, but, who knows.

Well it's more helpfull than a NVIDIA fanboy saying that the 7850 is crap and that if the op bought a gtx 660 at the beginning, he wouldn't have this problem. But fortunately it didn't happen in this thread yet.

Latest so thats not the problem. The best way to know if it's your cable is to try with another one, the best way to know if its your port is to test it with another kind. If that doesn't do it,I kind of ran out of idea :??: .
