Need bang for buck - ordering this weekend (11/23) Tags: New Build Motherboards Systems Last response: November 28, 2012 11:46 PM in Systems Share Numerate November 22, 2012 12:47:54 AM My 2005 Dell just crashed (motherboard died). I can salvage my (new Hard Drive, the DVD RW, Monitors, Sound card, and Floppy drive (Hey if the case supports it why not!) I'd like to get the best possible bare bones now, and add to it later. I'm looking at the AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core 4GHz AM3+ processor, and Corsair XMS3 CMX32Gx3M4A1600C11 32 GB (8 GB Dimms) I need to know what size power supply I need - I'm looking at the Ultra LSP series - they come in 550, 650 and 750Watts. I also need advice on a case and a motherboard. I have plenty of room, so thought a Full Size case would run cooler and leave more room for expansion. I have geek friends, but it's been too long for me to claim to be current! Any help would be appreciated.
