I haven't played wow in a long time, but I just bought a GTX 680 like last week and the the new WOW came out and I thought I'd give it a shot.

I finished my starting quests and the game is just choppy as all hell.

The only thing that I can think is with my case my card doesn't seat 100 percent into the slow. almost all the way (the pings in the slot are being pushed up so its making contact for sure) My case doesn't allow the card to seat all the way where the monitor plugs are. my gtx 480 seemed to fit just fine. but this one doesn't... don't ask me how is that possible. I dont seem to getting any other problems with other games at the moment.

(My ram is at 1600 mhz in my bios but here it says 933)

I'm running wow in 64 and 32 bit with 100 fps and then it just drops hard to about 20 every 2-3 seconds.

Solution
id try to roll back to the previous release driver.....if other games work fine its much more likely that its a driver issue than your card not seating correctly.....can you run a bench program like 3d11 or unigine???

how about temps in wow....are they spiking???
