Hey everyone, i was wondering if spending 500 is a good deal for the following. I'm a bit worried about the motherboard and SSD working well together. I've seen some people online complain about how these may not work well together.... unclear. I don't necessarily want this computer for serious gaming (although a nice bonus) I'm purchasing for my family and was simply shocked to find this deal for only $500. Am I missing something?

Waiting for a response with regard to the warranty. Assuming it does not have a warranty, do you think it still worthwhile purchase? I'm trying to buy something that can last a long period of time and continue to function at high speeds for at least 5 + years.

Also, if I were to replace the motherboard if there were a need, what model would you recommend that is compatible with these parts?

Thank you so much for all your help

Just curious, why do you recommend replacing the psu? Will I need to repeat this on a regular basis due to wear and tear on the parts or is this simply a one time necessity to ensure maximum performance?

The power supply is marginal, but if you don't overclock the cpu, it may last awhile. Antec, corsair, and ocz are three of the better value brands. Check your motherboard bios voltage readings for the 12v rail. If it's 11.7-12.2 then you should be fine.

Well, what exactly do you mean by functioning at "high speeds"?

and i'm sorry guys, but a used raidmax psu is just begging to be replaced IMHO. i recommend it as a more or less one time dealio that will last you a good 10 years, provided you get a decent one. here's a good one on sale...

and o1die, aren't motherboard voltage readings typically inaccurate? that's just what i've heard...

Just curious, what do u guys think would be a fair price for this system. With good upkeep and normal ussage would you assume it could last at least 5+ years?

If you want to offer $50 less (the approximately price of the seasonic ps) it can't hurt to try. Much of the stuff on craigslist doesn't go for the original price. The bios voltage readings are more likely to be accurate than some generic hardware monitor programs.
