The 6870 is the faster card, but make sure you have the power supply to run the 6870.

make sure the psu is from a good company cosair and antec have some nice psus that are around the 500-600w

tdp of hd6870 is 151w
tdp of hd7770 is 80w

500w smps/psu with 25-30A on 12v will be sufficient for hd6870
thus get atleast ""Corsair CMPSU-430CXV2UK 430 Watts"" or better (need more system info for accurate suggestion)
