Browser problems

Hello,
i just got a new comp. its a wireless comp with wired option. im having problems with my browser. cannot go anywhere but the msn page and google. could my modem be the problem? i have a westell 6100f. it was suggested that maybe it cannot handle the new comp? please help, i really dont know much about computers! thank you

i am trying to use a wired connection, we do have inernet service. the news on the msn page is updated daily. i am very frusterated!

do you know for sure it is using the wired connection. there may be a possibility it is picking up a open wifi connection . if you are using windows then check down by the time to tell which connection it is using. if you see a computer monitor like icon with a plug it is using wired and if it is using witreless it will have a meter like icon
