Here's the link to the pc http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03189456&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5192453#

I can get an amazing deal on it. But it has crap graphics, and I'm wanting to upgrade. I know the power supply in it isn't enough. So I was wondering if I could fit a different power supply in it. Maybe this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371044

Another thing I'm worried about is if that card will even fit in this mid size atx case

Solution
Yeah you'll want a new case or a card that's not more than 9 inches long, from what I can judge. Make sure that your HP mobo will fit in a standard ATX case, though. Sometimes OEMs choose weird motherboards just to keep people from upgrading.

You would want to check for extra cooling as well if your already upgrading the PSU anyway. Is there anywhere you can find actual dimensions for this case? It looks like a regular desktop so most likely your good but it wouldnt hurt to check out the case first.

Thanks for the quick reply, and the psu link! If I downgrade to the 7850 or gtx 660, will there be a significant drop in performance? If so, I'm open to just buying a new case to fit the bigger and better card

I've tried looking around and I just can't find the actual dimensions. But like I said I'm open to finding a better case to switch to

The power supply should fit on the case. However, you might want to contact HP for more accurate information. They have a live chat as well: http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-006&h_lang=en&h_cc=us&h_product=top&h_page=hpcom&h_client=test

And, you don't really need a 650 watts power supply to power a HD 7870. Even a 550 watts power supply is enough. Also, it's weird that your motherboard only have 2 DIMMs for the RAM. It's very unusual to have only 2 DIMMs on a LGA 1155 motherbaord, mostly 4 DIMMS.

Thanks for all the replies! Alright, so anyone got any suggestions for a new case? And how would I be able to make sure the mobo would fit in it?

Edit: here's the mobo form factor. uATX: 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) x 24.4 cm (9.6 inches)

Hi ipwn - Not as weird as u think. I spent weeks researching b4 i purch current computer. I musta seen dozens of
280-350w no name PSU's coupled with MOBO's containing 2 dimm slots.
The mass PC sellers really skimp on PSU's and MOBO's at lower price points.
