The Samsung 256Mb pc2100 CL2.5@Cas2 DDR I had, I replaced with Crucial 256Mb pc2100 CL2 DDR with no noticable difference.(Unfortunately)

the samsung ram PC2100 i found is CL2.5 and not CL2, so what is the difference?

nothing major. you wont see the performance change. cas 2.0 is faster.
