Hi all.

Putting together a new system for a good friend, using SLI gtx for the GPU setup. I have used the 1st model listed on a couple of different systems now and have been really happy with it's performance, price etc:

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Overclocked 2GB = $449

However. Recently I've seen this model appearing around the place:

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 WF2 2GB = $419

Obviously a different cooling system. But in trying to cut down budget, does anyone see a big problem with the other cheaper model? GPU overclocking isnt a big concern for this system as specified by the owner. They will be used to power a 27" 3D 120Hz display.

Any input appreciated. Not really looking at throwing any other model into the mix at this stage, unless I've missed something you guys find.

Thanks for having a look. I need to order from Australian based sites. Newegg doesn't love us over here :)

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, sorry about Newegg :p

I would believe the 2 fan card would work, might be a bit hotter than the 3 fan solution, but if you really need to pinch pennies then by all means.

I can't seem to find any benchmarks on the card, and I've never heard of this variation personally. I'll have a look around, but as of right now, I would suggest the 2 fan card to save some $$$.
