2560x1440 display

my specs :

gtx680 sli

2600k @ 4.3GHz

8gb ram


hello, so i am look in to buying a 2560x1440p for not to much price and im currently looking in to 2 used displays which are selling under $250

so my choices are :

zr2740w

and

DELL 2711


im considering the ZR2740W because the dell 2711 has a red line running between the screen coz i am not sure how it will be fixed....

is the zr2740w a good choice??


also the problem is it only has DIV to HDMI cable or a DISPLAYPORT connections...... will i see a difference if i use DP or DVI rather then HDMI which am used too????

The Dell Ultrasharp displays are generally regarded as being the best of the best but the HP monitor that you linked is also very good. The actual display panels themselves are both both of the H-IPS design and are sourced from LG.

That's because HDMI can't drive the monitor at it's full resolution while Dual-Link DVI and DisplayPort can.

why would you even consider purchasing a device that isn't working properly???

this is clearly a no-brainer and you shouldn't even consider the Dell display
