How much difference will I see in games like BF3. 20-30 fps? I game at 2560 x 1600 all max settings. I upgrade every year and its time to move up to the latest greatest without spending a grand on a 690. I'm getting about 40-45 fps now. Will the temps be alot better and which 4gb card is the best pick for those that have one already. I'm not interested in SLI either. Thanks.

The gtx 670 is around a 30% improvement over the 580.

I think you should wait until the next generation cards because for a 30% improvement it wouldn't be worth spending another $400.

To be honest, I would keep your current card and then turn down AA. Wait for the 7xx series and then upgrade. A 4GB card is not likely to help as 3GB is plenty for a single screen even at hi-res.

If you absolutely must have the latest and greatest, get the MSI power edition GTX 670 and overclock it hard. That should surpass reference 680s for a lesser price.
