Hi everyone! Compared to what i knew about a pc before i've learned a lot by reading the threads on TH. So i decided to build one myself. Looking forward to your suggestions on the build.

Approximate Purchase Date: 2 or 3 weeks

Budget Range: 650 $/ 35000 rs

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, ms word, browsing, movies

Parts Not Required: none

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: flipkart.com

Country: India

Parts Preferences: intel cpu & amd gpu

Overclocking: no

SLI or Crossfire: no

Monitor Resolution: 1366x768 or 1440x900

Additional Comments: Efficiency and low heat are important for me.

These are the parts that i came up with. Feel free to make any suggestions you think will improve the build. Most likely to buy from a local retail store. I'm already pushing my budget so maybe you could suggest parts that are similarly or lower priced to the ones i chose. Thank you

Motherboard: Asus p8b75 m lx

RAM: 2*2gb 1600 mhz. I'm not sure whether to get 4 gb of fast RAM like vengeance/ripjaws or 8 gb of normal RAM. Also i saw this Kingston RAM with CL5 (i think) on the website. Is it compatible with my build?

Solution
i think what you can do is get a cheaper cpu than the i3-3220 like a pentium G630 which is only rs.3300 and instead of 7750 you will then be able to afford a 7850 which will let you play games at much higher settings and resolution. and dont worry the pentium will not bottleneck the 7850

thanks for the reply bro! :)
but IPS panels are not available on monitors with resolution less than 1920 x 1080..and i won't be able to get good fps on recent games with the hd 7750 at 1920 x 1080..which is why i decided to go with a smaller monitor.

CX 430 was my choice too..the CX 430 has a single 12V power rail and the VP 450 has 2 x 12V power rail..could you tell me the difference..which one is better? thank you the reply bro!

Hey bro! Maybe i'll go with a g860 or g2120. I don't really need hyper threading. I see that you own a g630 + 7750 setup. What is your gaming experience with that setup and what resolution monitor do you use for gaming?

That's great guys! :bounce: So i'll change my cpu to a G860t (because of the 35w tdp) + 7750 and a 15" or 18" monitor. I'm currently using a 14" laptop so i don't mind playing on a low res monitor as long as the gameplay is smooth.

I modified by build and came up with this setup

CPU: Pentium G630, Rs 3440

GPU: Asus HD 6770 1gb ddr3, Rs 5240

RAM: Corsair 2*4Gb 1333 DDR3, Rs 2020

Motherboard: Asus P8H61 MLX, Rs 3020

Case: NZXT Gamma, Rs 2510

PSU: Corsai CX 430 V2, Rs 2700

Optical drive: Asus DRW 24B5ST, Rs 1100

Storage: Seagate Barracude 500 Gb, Rs 3430

Monitor: Asus 18.5" 197T 1366*768, Rs 5850

thats a pretty good build . where did you get the 6770 for such cheap ? is it used ?
also maybe you could have gone for a 1080p or atleast a 1600*900 monitor

The 6670 is available here
http://www.flipkart.com/search-computercomponents?query=6670&from=all&searchGroup=computers&_l=1APs+jTz_sbW68D3uBQ5Zg--&_r=57a71lOeNhfXDeCYNi7VEQ--&ref=a2eb876f-99e6-48da-af4f-d97a890efb81&otracker=start&autosuggest=&selmitem=Computers

Is'nt it better to play games at the native resolution of the monitor? I could'nt find a 1440*900 monitor on the website but i maybe able to get one from a local retail store. Does the g630 support 1333mhz RAM?

yeah..i meant the 6670..my bad..i'll see if i can include the bigger monitor in my budget when i make the purchase. Thanks a lot for your help bro. This build saves me about 10k and i can still run games at mid-high settings
