Brand new GPU failed after five hours

Hello, forgive me if this is a repeat topic, I looked but could find nothing similar.
Today I received my brand new Gainward GTX 670 phantom and installed promptly.
System booted fine, installed all driver updates and rebooted. Tested out new card with 45 minutes of Skyrim on ultra followed by half an hour on Arma 2 with all options as high as possible, card ran like a dream and I shut down to make dinner.
Just a few hours later I rebooted my pc.... nothing.
No signal is being received by my monitor from my GPU. System boots fine and can ever hear windows jingle away as it starts up, but just a black screen.
Re-installed my old GPU (8800 gts) and everything is peachy.

Any ideas before I ring up the supplier and start hollering?

System: i7 sandy bridge 2600k
Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme rev.2
asus p8z68-v pro/gen3
Corsair vengeance 8gb
Corsair CMPSU-600CXV2UK Builder Series 600W Power Supply

Parts do fail
Mostly during the first days of usage.

If a part is going to fail, it's usually going to fail within the first week of operation.

I got a MB DOA this weekend as well. Stuff happens. Send it back, or bring it back where you bought it and they will replace it.

Thanks everyone, going to try and swap it out into a friend's mobo to confirm the issues isn't with another part of my system before sending it off.
