No sound internal speakers

My problem is that after switching from XP Pro to Win 7 my internal speakers stopped working. Any thoughts?

So few people pay attention to beep codes it wouldn't surprise me if W7 doesn't support them, although it seems to me it should be a function of the BIOS.

Go to "device manger". you may see a yellow exclamation mark next to your speaker which indicates a driver fail or no driver found.

An on-board speaker will naturally integrate with the BIOS. (no drivers needed as its BIOS level).
