DP or HDMI, but not both

Can anyone tell me why when I plug in HDMI the DP turns off, I have an MSI gtx670 OC...meaning the DP monitor loses signal when the second HDMI monitor gets signal? Thanks.

Just go into the Nvidia control panel and check the box next to the monitor that went off and hit apply.

I wish the solution was that easy...Nvidia CP sees the monitor but the check box is grey, not selectable. Win7 CP is checkable but it wont save the changes or extend the desktop. I switched the DP cable for a DVI and everything is peachy. Maybe its an MSI thing?
